The 10th Forum of United Cultures: our work in the General Staff Building
The anniversary Forum took place in the General Staff Building of the Hermitage. Our part ran from image materials to the last sign on the attendee route.
We have worked with the St Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures since 2017. By the tenth edition the scope had grown to the full cycle: image materials, venue fit-out, the wayfinding system and printed publications.
The fit-out covered twenty-two structures: main stage constructions in two variants, the podium and lectern for the plenary session, the press wall, screen idents and screen frames, branding of access control systems, marquees and the meeting room window openings.
Wayfinding was a separate workstream. We studied floor plans and attendee flows before designing any sign: accreditation and info desks in three types each, thirty-six digital panel idents with hall schedules, and meeting points at Pulkovo Airport and Moskovsky railway station.
The print workstream covered the bilingual grid programme and the Forum brochure of at least seventy-two pages produced end to end: material gathering, copywriting, design, layout, retouching, proofreading and the English adaptation.
